A shocking fact of sexual exploitation of two minor girls by a school employee has come to light in a school in Phugewadi, Pune. A private entity was appointed by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation to run the school. The complaint also mentions that a student of the school was followed to her house.

The school principal has lodged a complaint at Bhosari (Dapodi) police station and a case has been registered against Sarfaraz Mansoor Shaikh (age 32, resident of Kondhwa Pune) under the POCSO Act.

Shaikh works in the admin section of the school. The complaint states that he sexually exploited the girls between August and October 2, 2024. A 13-year-old girl from the school met the principal on October 15 and said that Shaikh had touched her inappropriately. Also, the victim girl told the principal that Shaikh had done the same thing to a 15-year-old girl like her.

On hearing this, the school principal immediately reached Bhosari police station and informed the authorities about the incident. After this, the police have registered a case against Sheikh in this matter. Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has given permission to run the concerned English medium school as a private institution only two months ago. The concerned organization has been given the responsibility to complete the selection and recruitment process of teachers and non-teaching staff in this school. Besides, it is also the responsibility of the organization to run the daily functioning of the school smoothly. Police are investigating further.
