Crime: The driver used to drop her to school, raped the minor not once but again and again, now this is the punishment

A Delhi court has sentenced a man who raped a minor girl to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment. He used to take the victim to school. In the year 2018, a man raped a minor girl not once but several times. The court convicted him for the crime.

Additional Sessions Judge Balwinder Singh was hearing arguments in the case of the 44-year-old driver, who was convicted under Section 6 of the POCSO Act. The court gave him this harsh punishment and said that he is not worthy of sympathy.

The court had given this decision on October 19, in which it has been informed that 'In the present case, the victim is a minor girl and at the time of the crime, she was only 3.5 years old. She was sexually assaulted multiple times between August 2018 and October 23, 2018. Despite being an adult, the man did not hesitate to commit a heinous crime with a minor.

Apart from sentencing him to 20 years imprisonment, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the convict and awarded a compensation of Rs 1.2 lakh to the minor victim.
