Crowd gathered at Jantar Mantar at midnight, people standing with bed sheets; Delhi Police implemented strict section!

Jantar Mantar of Delhi is currently the center of political turmoil as well as a lot of hustle and bustle. A crowd of agitators has gathered here regarding the proposed protest of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). Despite the scorching heat and humidity, the attitude of the protesters does not seem to be weakening. On Sunday night, the pictures of Jantar Mantar were seen completely changed, where there was no space left even to set foot. The people who came to participate in the protest clearly said that they have come fully prepared for the Parliament march and will remain there throughout the night.

In fact, considering the seriousness of the movement, Delhi Police has also geared up. Security arrangements have been tightened in New Delhi district to stop the ‘Chalo Sansad’ march of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). The security cordon in the entire area is so tight that every person is being given entry to the protest site only after strict investigation. Police have invoked Section 163 of the BNSS (which was earlier Section 144 of the CrPC) to maintain law and order, resulting in tense peace in the area.

Protestors arrived with bedsheets, plan to stay overnight

The resolve of the protesters gathered at Jantar Mantar appears to be very strong. People are not only holding posters and banners in their hands, but they have also brought bedsheets and bedding from home with them to spend the night. According to local people, the number of protesters is increasing with time. They say that they are waiting for morning so that they can march towards Parliament. On the other hand, Delhi Police has erected walls of barricades and is taking precautionary measures to deal with any untoward situation.

Strict advisory from Delhi Police: Ban on march without permission

On this entire incident, New Delhi’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sachin Sharma has clarified the situation by issuing a public advisory on social media platform X on Sunday. The police have made it clear that neither any permission was sought for this march or procession of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) nor has any such approval been given by the administration.

DCP Sachin Sharma said in a warning tone that activities should be limited only to the place fixed for the protest at Jantar Mantar. There is a complete ban on any kind of march, procession or rally outside this. If anyone is found violating this prohibitory order, strict legal action will be taken against him under Section 223 of BNS and other relevant laws.

Even a bird will not be able to kill in a high-security zone, but it can kill

Due to the Parliament session, security agencies are on alert mode throughout New Delhi. According to information received from police sources, the crowd will not be allowed to enter the high-security zone illegally at any cost. Police have appealed to citizens to respect the law and not be part of any illegal gathering.

At present, heavy police force along with additional soldiers have been deployed at Jantar Mantar. Intensive checking of incoming and outgoing vehicles is being done. Now it remains to be seen what turn this standoff takes between the protesters and the police as the morning dawns.
