Crowd of faith gathered at Pathaleshwar Nath temple of Paniyahwa on Mahashivratri.

On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, a huge crowd of devotees gathered at the Pathaleshwar Nath temple located in Paniyahwa of Hanumanganj police station area. With the first rays of dawn, devotees started flocking for Jalabhishek. The temple complex echoed with the chants of “Har-Har Mahadev” and the entire atmosphere remained Shiva-filled. The devotees performed Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva as per the rituals and prayed for the happiness, prosperity of their family and prosperity of the area. On this occasion, a fair and cultural program was also organized in the temple premises, where devotional songs presented by local artists enthralled the devotees.

In view of the security arrangements, the police force remained deployed under the leadership of Hanumanganj police station in-charge Santosh Yadav. The policemen were busy controlling the crowd the entire time and maintaining peace and order, due to which the entire event was conducted peacefully. Mahant of the temple, Dr. Satyendra Giri told that Mahashivratri is a festival symbolizing the sacred union of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. On this day, the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled by the worship done with true heart and Jalabhishek. He also gave a message to the devotees to follow the path of mutual harmony and religion.
