In this match, Chennai opener Sanju Samson performed brilliantly. He scored unbeaten 115 runs in 56 balls, which included 15 fours and 4 sixes. Samson looked in great form right from the start and he put the team in a strong position by hitting shots all around the field. This inning of his proved to be very important for the team.

Ayush Mhatre’s support

Apart from Sanju Samson, Ayush Mhatre also batted brilliantly. He scored 59 runs in 36 balls and formed a big partnership with Samson. Both the batsmen together handled the Chennai innings and took the score beyond 200.

Changes in playing XI

Delhi Capitals made two changes in their playing eleven for this match. Aaqib Nabi was given a chance in place of Vipraj and Ashutosh Sharma was given a chance in place of Nitish Rana. Dewald Brevis and Gurjapaneet Singh returned to the Chennai Super Kings team, due to which the balance of the team looked better.

Position of both teams

This season has been very disappointing so far for Chennai Super Kings. The team has lost its first three matches and is looking for its first win. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals have performed well by winning two out of three matches.
