CSK will win IPL this time, bought two players for Rs 30 lakhs but the work cost crores

New Delhi: Ranji Trophy is currently in the news as some of the key players of the Indian cricket team have not been able to perform effectively in their comeback matches. Like Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Yashasvi Jaiswal did not score big for their respective teams. But at the same time, players of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are performing tremendously in Ranji Trophy. First Ravindra Jadeja and Khaleel Ahmed established their dominance in bowling, and now Sheikh Rashid and Andre Siddharth have attracted everyone's attention by scoring centuries.

CSK batsmen scored a lot of runs

In the ongoing Ranji Trophy match between Tamil Nadu and Chandigarh, 18-year-old Andre Siddharth scored a brilliant century while batting at number six. Tamil Nadu team had lost four wickets for 126 runs, then Siddharth came and played an inning of 106 runs in 143 balls, which included 10 fours and 3 sixes. Whereas, in the match between Andhra and Puducherry, Sheikh Rashid of CSK saved Andhra from getting into trouble with his slow but steady innings. He scored 105 runs in 248 balls, with only 7 fours. On the basis of his innings, Andhra team was able to score 245 runs till stumps on the first day, despite having lost 7 wickets.

Chennai had signed these players in the mega auction

Both Sheikh Rashid and Andre Siddharth were bought at the base price of Rs 30 lakh in the IPL 2025 mega auction. CSK itself bid on both these players and included them in their team. Earlier, Ravindra Jadeja had taken 5-5 wickets for Saurashtra and Khalil Ahmed for Rajasthan with his brilliant bowling.
