The elderly man, influenced by the fraudsters, invested Rs 50 lakh, but when the victim tried to withdraw his money, he was unable to withdraw it and realized that he had been cheated.

According to media reports, cyber thugs had introduced the victim to the elderly through WhatsApp. He had sent a WhatsApp group link named 'Stock Discussion Group' to the victim. In which group administrator Kunal Singh had described himself as a famous finance advisor. Kunal had claimed that he gets people to invest in the stock market, due to which he gets huge profits. The swindlers also claimed that they had changed the fortunes of many people. Even many investors have got returns up to 500 percent. Thug Kunal asked the old man to take admission in online class.

When the victim started believing, the swindlers made him invest around Rs 50 lakh. But when the victim wanted to withdraw money, he was unable to complete the transaction. After which he realized that he had been cheated. When they tried to contact Kunal, he was also missing. After which the victim lodged a report in the police station.
