Cyclone Dana: These superfast trains canceled due to Cyclone Dana, check the list before traveling on Diwali

New Delhi. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning regarding Cyclone Dana in Odisha and West Bengal. According to the department, Cyclone Dana can take a severe form in many districts of West Bengal and Odisha. This storm is likely to cross the Odisha coast and reach the West Bengal coast between the night of 24 October and the morning of 25 October. In view of this, Railways has canceled more than 150 trains. These include trains like Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express.

According to the information received from Northern Railway, 22824 Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express from New Delhi to Bhubaneswar has been canceled on 23 October 2024. Apart from this, 18478 Kalinga Utkal Express, which was scheduled to depart from Yoga city Rishikesh from Uttarakhand to Puri today, has also been cancelled. At the same time, 12802 Purushottam Express, scheduled to depart from New Delhi on the night of 23 October, has also been cancelled. This train goes to Puri.

Apart from this, 12282 New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Duronto Express, scheduled to depart from New Delhi on 24 October 2024, has also been cancelled. At the same time, 12816 Nandan Kanan Express, leaving for Puri from Anand Vihar Terminal on 24th, has also been cancelled.

Railway Ministry officials say that the cyclonic storm is likely to hit the coasts of Odisha-West Bengal on October 25. Due to this, more than 150 express and passenger trains passing through the South Eastern Railway zone have been cancelled. Major trains canceled include Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express, Kamakhya-Yesvantpur AC Express, Howrah-Puri Shatabdi Express, Howrah-Bhubaneswar Shatabdi Express and Howrah-Yesvantpur Express. South Eastern Railway has currently canceled more than 150 trains departing between October 23 and 25. If necessary, more trains can be cancelled. South Eastern Railway (SER) has its territory spread over West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand, with its headquarters at Kolkata.
