Darbhanga: Woman dies due to negligence of quack doctor
Anita Devi (40) died due to negligence of quack doctor Shivji Shah in Darbhanga. The family demanded financial help from the government and action against the culprits. After the post-mortem, the police have started investigating the case.
Bihar: Anita Devi, wife of Laxman Shah of Darbhanga, suffered injury to her toe on Sunday evening. Despite suffering minor injuries, the family immediately decided to go to medicine shop operator Shivji Shah, who had a private practice in the village, for treatment.
Husband Laxman Shah told that as soon as he reached Shivji Shah, he gave three injections without thorough examination. Shortly after the injection, Anita Devi’s health suddenly deteriorated. The family tried to provide immediate help, but it was too late and the woman died.

The deceased’s brother Santosh Sah said that this is not the first incident. He said that such accidents had already happened at Shivji Shah’s medicine shop. Shivji Shah has been running a medicine shop in the village for about 10 years, but after this incident he has absconded.
The family says that there are three small children and their family is very poor. After the death of his wife, a mountain of sorrow has fallen on the family. The family members are demanding financial assistance from the government and strict action against the culprits.
