‘Darling, the paper has been issued for you’: Lucknow University professor wanted to cause ‘scandal’ by calling student to office

A case has come to light from Lucknow University which has put the temple of education to shame. Dr. Paramjeet Singh, an assistant professor in the Zoology department here, has been seriously accused of forcing his own student to meet her by luring her with a paper leak and talking obscenely. An audio of the professor has gone viral in which he is addressing the student as ‘darling’ and saying that he has got the exam paper out for her.

“I have a crush on you, don’t cheat”: Professor’s shamelessness

The professor’s intentions are clearly visible in the two audio clips that have gone viral. In the first audio, the professor asks the student how her mother is and then tricks her by saying that if she needs any kind of help, let her know. The professor claimed that he had already prepared both the main subject and elective papers for the student. The professor is heard repeatedly pressurizing the student to come and meet within 4 to 7 days.

In the second audio the professor goes even further. He tells the student, “I am affectionate towards you, just don’t cheat on me.” She also showed the student her dream of getting MSc and even PhD from Stanford University. The professor said objectionable things like kissing the student’s feet and tried to blackmail her emotionally.

Student reveals her secret: “I don’t love papers, I love my respect”

The student trapped in the professor’s clutches showed wisdom and recorded these things. In the audio, the student is seen continuously refusing to meet her citing family constraints and mother’s illness. After disconnecting the call, the student can be heard saying, “This man does not want to give me the paper, but wants to molest me again. I do not want the paper.” This recording of the student has exposed the dark exploits of the professor.

Paper leak claim and university’s action

The accused professor is from the Zoology department and claimed that he had leaked the papers of difficult subjects like ‘Immuno Genetics’ and ‘Genomics’ for the student. As soon as this matter came to light, there was a stir in the Lucknow University administration. University spokesperson Prof. Mukul Srivastava said that considering the seriousness of the case, investigation has been started and the culprit will not be spared.

Police case and Vishakha Committee investigation

Chief Proctor of the University, Prof. According to Rakesh Dwivedi, a written complaint has been given by the Controller of Examinations to Hasanganj police station to register an FIR against the accused assistant professor. Along with this, the pen drive containing the audio clip has also been handed over to the police. The University’s ‘Vishakha Committee’ (Internal Complaint Committee) is also investigating this matter. Chairperson of the department Prof. Amita Kanojia has also confirmed that the voice in the audio seems to be that of Dr. Paramjit Singh.
