David Harbour shares honest verdict on Eleven’s ‘Stranger Things’ ending

In a candid moment, David Harbour shared his take on what happens to Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven in the Stranger Things series finale.

Speaking with USA Todayat the Gotham TV Awards on June 1, the 51-year-old star opened up about if he thinks ‘Eleven’s alive?’

“I think she’s dead. I’m sorry! I’m sorry, I know,” he bluntly stated.

David, who took ont he role of Jim Hopper in the fan favourite series, isn’t alone in weighing in on the ambiguous ending of Eleven’s storyline.

In the December 31 Netflix’s sci-fi horror show’s finale, Eleven seemed to make the ultimate sacrifice to destroy the Upside Down; yet the ending suggested not everything may be as it seems.

In the episode’s final moments, Mike (Finn Wolfhard) puts forward the idea of an alternative reality.

Mike questions the idea that Eleven could have used her abilities under the military’s tech, offering an alternative interpretation in which the rift sequence was only a vision, and she ultimately escaped to live quietly off the grid.

Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Will (Noah Schnapp), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), and Max (Sadie Sink) all agree with Mike’s version of events, repeating the words, “I believe.”

But in reality, Sadie, 24, takes a more grounded, realistic view.

In chat with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this year, she shared, “I think she’s dead.”

“I think Mike’s story is just one last story and then they say goodbye to childhood. But that’s just one final tale and that’s it,” she added.
