DC-SP inspected the counting center in Lohardaga, directed for transparent and peaceful counting of votes.
Lohardaga: The counting center set up in the Agricultural Market Committee premises was inspected by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kumar Tarachand and Superintendent of Police Sadiq Anwar Rizvi on Thursday. The DC-SP along with the district level officers took detailed stock of the security of Vajragriha and the arrangements of the counting centre. During the inspection, three-tier security system, check point, barricading, CCTV monitoring, media centre, counting table, cleanliness and separate entry gate and designated place for counting agents were reviewed.
Section 163 imposed in the city area regarding counting of votes in Lohardaga, ban on procession, sloganeering and show of strength, strictness within 100 meter radius.
The officials gave necessary directions to the concerned officials and asked them to ensure transparent and peaceful counting of votes. Counting of votes will start at 8 am. In view of this, all the deputed officers, returning officers, assistant returning officers and counting personnel have been instructed to be present at the center before the scheduled time. Additional Collector Jitendra Munda, Deputy Election Officer Pramod Das and all the election officials were present on the occasion.
Precaution regarding law and order
In view of the possibility of procession, sloganeering, show of strength or dispute due to political competition on the day of counting, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Amit Kumar has imposed prohibitory order in the entire Nagar Panchayat area under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code. The order will remain effective till the end of the vote counting process.
These will be the main restrictions
* Candidates will make seating arrangements only outside the radius of 100 meters from the counting premises.
* Candidates or their election agents will not use loudspeakers.
* After the declaration of results, there will be no shouting, procession or rally in the counting complex. Prior permission will be required for this.
* Inflammatory remarks against any party, candidate, individual or particular religion inside or outside the campus will be prohibited.
* Only authorized vehicles engaged in election work will be able to enter the vote counting complex. Candidates will not use personal vehicle.
* The order will not apply to government officials, election personnel and police force.
