Dead body of youth found hanging from tree under suspicious circumstances, suspicion of murder

Settlement. There was a sensation in Keshavpur under Parshurampur police station area of ​​Basti district when the body of a youth was found hanging from a tree. The deceased has been identified as Mahesh Singh (24 years), son of late Bajrang Singh, resident of Keshavpur. It is being told that Mahesh was the eldest among his three brothers and his marriage was scheduled to take place on 28th April. According to the information received, on Wednesday morning when some villagers went towards the fields for defecation, they saw a young man hanging on a Sahatut tree located near the dam outside the village.

After going closer and identifying him, it was found that the body was that of Mahesh Singh. As soon as the news of the incident was received, there was chaos among the family members and a large number of villagers gathered at the spot. Jai Singh, brother of the deceased, alleged that Mahesh was murdered and the body was hanged from a tree. He has demanded a fair and thorough investigation of the case and strict action against the culprits. At the same time, various types of discussions are taking place in the village regarding this incident and most of the people are not considering it as suicide but suspecting it to be murder.

As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Police say that prima facie the case appears suspicious, and investigation is being done keeping all the aspects in mind. The exact cause of death will be revealed only after the post mortem report comes.
