Deadly blast kills at least 55 in rebel-held village in Myanmar

A deadly explosion in a rebel-held village in northeastern Myanmar. At least 55 people died and more than 70 people were injured in this incident. On Sunday, a loud explosion was heard in a house in Kwangtat village, which is under the control of TNLA. 55 people died on the spot. Among the dead, 25 are women. Besides, more than 70 people were injured. As a result, the death toll is expected to increase. The blast was so intense that at least 100 houses in the vicinity were damaged. According to TNLA, the accident was caused by the explosion of explosives used for cutting stones from the mine.
