The accused murdered his wife and two children and three family members who had filed a complaint against him.
Hyderabad. A 35-year-old accused in a case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act in Telangana’s Rangareddy district killed six people, including his wife and two children and three family members who had filed a complaint against him. Police gave this information on Saturday.
According to the police, P. Rajkumar first killed the minor girl of the complainant family, her mother and grandmother and then killed his wife and his two children in different areas of Shabad Mandal on Friday night.
A case was registered against Rajkumar under the POCSO Act in May this year for stalking a minor girl. This complaint was filed on the basis of the complaint of the victim’s family. Rajkumar was recently granted anticipatory bail in this case.
A senior police officer said that the accused attacked the victims with a sickle and a knife and slit their throats. Immediately after committing the murder, the accused called his father and confessed to the crime. After this the parents of the accused informed the police about the incident.
Rajkumar absconded after the incident and a search is on for him. The official said the exact reason for the killings was being investigated. He said that the entire matter will become clear only after the arrest and interrogation of the accused.
Police suspect that the accused had a deep grudge against the minor girl but it is not yet known why he killed his wife and two children. Two cases have been registered in connection with the murders.
