Death penalty to a couple found guilty of sexually exploiting children and selling porn videos: 34 were accused of sexually exploiting children and selling their videos and photos abroad.

CBI registered a case in October 2020 on the basis of Interpol report.

To tie. The court finally awarded death sentence to the couple accused of sexually exploiting children and making their porn videos and selling them abroad. Special Judge POCSO Act, considering the case as a heinous crime, has sentenced both the husband and wife to be hanged till death and to pay a fine of Rs 6 lakh 5 thousand separately. The court has also directed the government to give compensation of Rs 10 lakh to each victim.
Let us tell you that on the basis of the Interpol report in the month of October 2020, CBI had registered a case against Ram Bhavan, Junior Engineer of Irrigation Department in Chitrakoot, resident of Kharaunch village of Naraini, in Delhi for making children victims of sexual exploitation and making porn videos of them and selling them abroad.

The accused JE was arrested by the CBI on 18 November 2020 from Kharaunch village of Naraini police station and sent to jail. On the basis of the statement of the victim children, his wife Durgavati, who was supporting the accused JE in his misdeeds, was also arrested. To confirm the allegations, the medical examination of 34 victim children was done at AIIMS in New Delhi and the investigator of the case, CBI Deputy SP Amit Kumar, after a thorough investigation, filed a charge sheet against both of them.

During effective prosecution, the prosecution presented a total of 74 witnesses in the case on behalf of CBI and Additional Public Prosecutor of CBI Dhara Singh worked to bring the case to conclusion with the help of Public Prosecutor Kamal Singh Gautam of POCSO Court at the local level. On Friday, Special Judge POCSO Act Pradeep Kumar Mishra sentenced the couple accused of the heinous incident to be hanged till death. Apart from this, a fine of Rs 6 lakh 5 thousand has also been imposed on both of them separately. The court has made it clear in its decision that the Central and State Governments should pay compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to all the victim children on the basis of mutual agreement.
