Ramayan teaser launch:While the teaser of the film ‘Ramayana: Part 1’, released on the special occasion of Hanuman Janmotsav, created excitement among the audience, controversy also arose regarding its launch. A debate broke out on social media when the teaser of this Ranbir Kapoor and Yash starrer film was launched in America before India.
Now the film’s producer Namit Malhotra has given his reaction on this entire controversy. He clearly said that people should not be divided on such issues and it is important to look at a subject like Ramayana with unity.
Teaser of ‘Ramayana’ launched in America
Ranbir Kapoor’s first look as Lord Ram was revealed in this teaser released on the occasion of Hanuman Janmotsav. This video of about 2 minutes 38 seconds impressed the audience a lot.
The teaser was launched at a special screening in Los Angeles ahead of its release in India, where director Nitish Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra were also present.
Questions raised on launch abroad before India
Many people raised questions about the teaser being launched first in America. Some viewers believed that the teaser of such an important film should have been released in India first.
Nominated Malhotra’s reply ‘Don’t divide’
Responding to the controversy, nominated Malhotra during an event held in Mumbai said,"There is no division. This is one world, one Ramayana and one Ram."
He appealed to the people not to maintain divisiveness on such issues and look at Ramayana from a global perspective.
Attempt to take Indian culture to the global stage
Nominated Malhotra said that an effort is being made to present Indian culture and history at the international level through ‘Ramayana’.
He also raised questions about whether international audiences are unfamiliar with the Ramayana, and said his aim is to take the epic to the entire world.

On the questions raised regarding the teaser launch, he said,"It is very difficult to meet people and spread awareness without stopping work between shoots. We are not selling any tickets."
He clarified that this initiative is not just for publicity, but also for cultural awareness.

Malhotra, named for the angry audience over the first launch in America, said,"Don’t divide. This is not the time to divide."
He also said that Indians living in America expressed their gratitude to him for this event and there is a need to understand the sentiments there.
