Deepak Tijori cheated of lakhs on the pretext of getting funds for the film, actor lodged complaint
Desk. Actor Deepak Tijori has been a victim of fraud. This fraud has been done to the actor in the name of getting funds for the film. According to sources, a case has been registered against three people for defrauding Bollywood actor Deepak Tijori of Rs 2.5 lakh on the pretext of getting funds for his upcoming film. A police officer gave this information on Thursday.
Police said that Deepak Tijori was looking for financial help for his new film. Meanwhile, a friend introduced him to one of the accused, who claimed to be associated with a music company. In February last year, Tijori also met a woman who introduced herself as a film producer and assured that she could help him find investors for the film. He asked for Rs 5 lakh to get the work done. The official said that after this Deepak Tijori paid Rs 2.5 lakh as the first installment.
The accused persons had promised to submit a ‘Letter of Interest’ from a well-known content company within a week and had also signed an agreement for the same. However, it is alleged that they failed to deliver the promised documents and thereafter stopped responding to Deepak Tijori’s calls and messages. According to the official, when the actor realized that he was duped, he lodged a complaint against three people at Bangur Nagar police station last month. The officer says that all three accused will be called for investigation. The matter is under investigation.
