The reason for this is the exit of Deepika Padukone, the female lead from the first part of the film. For quite a while now, the makers have been in search of Deepika Padukone’s replacement for Kalki’s sequel.
However, news has been doing the rounds that Kalki makers have found a replacement in a new actress for part 2. Let’s see which actress is in the race?

The fans cannot wait to see South superstar Prabhas’s next outing, Kalki 2. The 2024 science fiction mythological film had impressed every viewer with its storytelling and became a huge success. Deepika Padukone was one of the main stars in the film.
But after Deepika’s departure from the sequel of Kalki, makers faced the issue of selecting a female lead. They are yet to get a confirmed replacement for Kalki Part 2 even after a year. However, according to a report by Mid-Day, female superstar Alia Bhatt might just be the one to replace her friend Deepika Padukone in Kalki 2.
The report mentions that makers of Kalki are in talks with Alia Bhatt. Nonetheless, Alia Bhatt’s confirmation about her presence in Kalki 2 has not been issued.
Earlier the name of actress Sai Pallavi also floated in and around for Kalki 2. Beside Prabhas, megastar Amitabh Bachchan and veteran actor Kamal Haasan played main characters in the movie.
Shooting of Kalki 2 starts
Recently, news also popped up about Kalki 2 starting its shoot at the earliest. Makers are planning for a release as soon as possible. Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan are already shooting for their characters in the film. In Kalki, Amitabh is playing Ashwatthama and Prabhas is portraying the character of Karna.
