Deepika Padukone pregnant again at 40; Dua holds test kit announcing good news (see pic)

Congratulations are in order for Bollywood couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who are all set to embrace parenthood for the second time.

On Sunday, Deepika took to Instagram to share her pregnancy announcement. The post shows a half-face picture of her daughter Dua holding a positive pregnancy test. Dua is all set to become a big sister.

Deepika captioned the post with two evil eye emojis. With this news, Papa Ranveer Singh has dual reasons to rejoice. Professionally, his film Dhurandar is smashing box-office records, and personally, he is set to welcome his second child.

Fans and fraternity members congratulated her on the second pregnancy announcement. Kiara Advani, Parineeti Chopra and Sonam Kapoor were among others who extended congratulatory wishes.

Actress Bhumi Pednekar wrote, “Congratulations,” followed by a red heart emoji. Samantha Ruth Prabhu also commented with a few red heart emoticons.

Parineeti wrote, “Congratssssssss,” along with kissy emojis, while Kiara commented, “Congratulationssss ❤️❤️❤️.”

Amid divorce rumorus, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announce second pregnancy

Deepika, who recently turned 40, had been keeping a low profile and was only spotted at a few events wearing loose fits. No one had predicted her pregnancy. However, many Instagram astrologers had earlier claimed that Ranveer and Deepika were heading for divorce.

Deepika and Ranveer’s romantic saga blossomed on the sets of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. In 2015, during a romantic Maldives getaway, Ranveer proposed to Deepika, though the couple kept their engagement under wraps for three years.

After keeping fans guessing, the couple tied the knot on November 14 and 15, 2018, in a stunning ceremony at Lake Como.

They welcomed their first child, daughter Dua, on September 8, 2024. Deepika and Ranveer shared a heartfelt post revealing their daughter’s name: “Dua: meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love & gratitude.”

The couple has shared screen space in several notable films, including Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, and 83. Their chemistry has always been widely appreciated by audiences.

Deepika and Ranveer made cameo appearances in each other’s films, such as Finding Fanny and Cirkus.
