ICC Rankings: Deepti Sharma reaches top in T20 bowling, Laura Wolvaardt overtakes Smriti
ICC Women’s Ranking: Indian women’s team all-rounder Deepti Sharma has achieved the number-1 position in the ICC Women’s T20 International Bowling Rankings for the first time in her career. He achieved this feat after his brilliant performance of taking 1 wicket for just 20 runs in 4 overs in the first T20 match against Sri Lanka in Visakhapatnam. India won this match by 8 wickets. For this economical spell, Deepti got 5 rating points and achieved the top position, defeating Australia’s Annabel Sutherland.
Laura Wolvaardt becomes number-1 ODI batsman
South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt achieved the top position in the ODI batting rankings. In the home series against Ireland, he scored centuries in the last 2 matches and led the team to a 3β0 series win. After this performance, Wolvaardt left Smriti Mandhana behind and achieved the number-1 position.

Arundhati Reddy and the improvement of Indian bowlers
Apart from Deepti, other Indian bowlers also improved in the T-20 International bowling rankings. Arundhati Reddy moved up 5 positions to 36th position after the Sri Lanka match. In this way, a positive change was seen in the ranking of Indian bowlers.
Great bounce from Jemimah Rodrigues
Jemimah Rodrigues was the most improved player among Indian players in T-20 International batting rankings. His unbeaten half-century against Sri Lanka took him up 5 spots to number 9. He also received the ‘Player of the Match’ award for this performance. Now Jemima is included in the top 10 in this format along with Smriti Mandhana (third number) and Shafali Verma (10th number).

Other South African players also improved the ranking
Sune Luus, another player of the Proteas team, climbed 7 positions to 34th position in the ODI batting rankings. Due to her all-round performance, she moved up 11 places to reach 22nd position among ODI all-rounders. Additionally, Arlene Kelly moved up five places to 27th in ODI bowling, while Gabby Lewis and Amy Hunter moved up to 18th and 28th respectively.
