In the fifth T20 match against Sri Lanka, she became the highest wicket taker by taking her 152nd wicket. This match was played in Thiruvananthapuram. With this wicket, Deepti broke the record of Australia’s Megan Schutt, who had 151 wickets to her name. Deepti dismissed Nilakshika Silva in the 14th over. Pakistan’s Nida Dar is in third place with 144 wickets. India’s Radha Yadav has 103 wickets in her name and is the second most successful Indian bowler. Deepti and Radha are the only Indian bowlers who have taken more than 100 wickets in T20.
Earlier, Deepti had become the first player in the world to complete 1000 runs and 150 wickets in T20 International. He is at number one in the ICC T20 all-rounder rankings. He has played 133 T20 matches for India so far.
