Flight time: The plane took off from Jorhat airbase in Assam on Thursday evening.

How the accident happened: Shortly after takeoff, the plane lost contact with the Air Force control room and suddenly disappeared from the radar screen. Fearing something untoward, the Air Force immediately started a large-scale search operation.

Debris found in dense forests at 1 o’clock in the night-
The special rescue team of the Air Force, the local police administration and the villagers jointly conducted an operation throughout the night to search for the plane.

According to a defense official, the wreckage of the crashed aircraft was discovered around 1 am in the night in a very remote and forested area, about 60 km from the Jorhat airbase.

Air Force ordered high level investigation-
The Indian Air Force has officially confirmed this tragic incident and has ordered a ‘Court of Inquiry’ to find out the cause of the accident.
