DefSat 2025: An important step towards India's defense and space sector, what is the unique theme

Obnews Tech Desk: Next month, experts and industry leaders from India's defense and space sectors will gather at the DefSat 2025 Conference and Expo. This prestigious event will be held from 8 to 10 January 2025 at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi. It aims to create synergy between defense modernization and India's growing space ambitions.

DefSat 2025: Theme and main topics

The theme of this three-day conference is 'Integrated Space Capabilities for Multi-Domain Operations'. Its focus will be on the role of space technologies and their strategic utility in modern warfare. These technologies will make significant contributions in areas such as land, sea, atmosphere, cyberspace and homeland security.

Retired Lieutenant General PJS Pannu, Senior Advisor, Satcom Industry Association-India (SIA-India) said,
“Defsat 2025 will highlight next generation military technologies. These include quantum key delivery, non-lethal space warfare and AI/ML-enabled solutions, which will make India a leader in future defense preparedness.”

DefSat 2025: special attractions

Key features of this conference include IndSpace Wargame 3.0. This wargame will simulate challenges related to space security and demonstrate the complexities of space operations. Through this, India's emerging space capabilities will be highlighted.

The event is being hosted by Satcom Industry Association-India (SIA-India). It is supported by the Department of Defense Production, Ministry of Defence, DRDO, NewSpace India Limited, and the Indian Space Society. Additionally, the Center for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS) is participating as a knowledge partner.
