PR Vision-2047 will play an important role in building a developed India- CM Dhami

Dehradun News: The 47th All India Public Relations Conference – 2025 was inaugurated on Friday at Hotel Emerald Grand located on Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the three-day national conference by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, he saw the photo exhibition organized at the conference venue and inspected the stalls of local handicraft products and encouraged the artisans.

Experts from across the country

Experts related to public relations and communication from all over the country are participating in this conference which will run from 13 to 15 December. Organized by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), this conference focuses on the theme ‘Developed India @2047: Development too, heritage too’. The presence of representatives from Russia in the conference has given it an international character.

What did CM Dhami say?

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said in his address that today public relations is no longer just a medium of giving information, but it has become an important process of nation building. In the digital age, where information spreads rapidly, the challenge of misinformation has also increased. In such a situation, the biggest responsibility of public relations is to establish correct, timely and reliable communication between the government and the public.

PR system should be technically strong- Dhami

CM said that in a disaster prone and strategically sensitive state like Uttarakhand, dialogue is the foundation of trust. The future PR system will have to be made technically strong, fast and sensitive to public sentiments, so that a partnership relationship can be formed between the government and the public.

Where has the size of the economy reached?

Throwing light on the development journey of the state, the Chief Minister said that the size of the economy of Uttarakhand is going to reach about Rs 3.78 lakh crore in the year 2024–25. Work is being done at a rapid pace in the fields of education, health, roads, rail, air connectivity and tourism. Rishikesh-Karnprayag Rail Project, Delhi-Dehradun Expressway and Ropeway projects are giving new momentum to the state.

He said that Uttarakhand is becoming an emerging center of investment due to Global Investors Summit, Single Window System and new industrial policies. Schemes like “One District – Two Products”, House of Himalayas and Millet Mission are strengthening local employment.

Many public relations experts were present

On this occasion, Additional Secretary and Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari was given national honor by PRSI for his excellent contribution in good governance. A large number of public relations experts including Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Swami Chidanand Muni, PRSI National President Ajit Pathak were present in the program.
