Dehradun SSC MTS exam cheating gang caught
A big cheating gang has been exposed during SSC MTS exam in Dehradun. STF arrested two accused, who took Rs 10 lakh each from the candidates and promised them jobs. The gang was causing irregularities in the online examination by causing technical interference. The role of suspects belonging to other states is also likely to come to light in the investigation.
Cheating scam in SSC MTS exam: A big cheating gang has been busted during the Staff Selection Commission’s MTS examination held from February 4 in Dehradun. Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two accused Nitish Kumar and Bhaskar Naithani, who were taking Rs 10 lakh each from the candidates on the pretext of getting them government jobs. The gang tried to give unfair advantage to the candidates by interfering in the online system of Mahadev Digital John Centre. This action was taken on the information of UP STF and the investigation is still going on.
Cheating gang busted in SSC MTS exam
A big cheating gang has been exposed during the MTS examination of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in Dehradun. Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two accused, who used to take Rs 10 lakh each from candidates on the pretext of getting them government jobs. The gang was creating irregularities in the online examination by tampering with the system at the examination centre.
Gang operations and arrests
STF has arrested Deoria resident Nitish Kumar and Dehradun resident Bhaskar Naithani. Both the accused are accused of creating irregularities in the examination process and extorting huge amount from the candidates. The online examination was being conducted at Mahadev Digital John Center in Dehradun, from where attempts were being made to give unfair advantage to the candidates through technical interference.
Action on information of UP STF
This operation started on the basis of information from UP STF. Many important electronic evidences have been seized in the joint action. Preliminary investigation has indicated that the gang’s network may extend to other states as well. STF is searching for other suspects and a thorough investigation of the entire case is going on.
STF officials said that the online examination system was being accessed by the gang. The investigating agencies are also finding out whether people from other states are associated with this gang. Based on initial clues, many important evidences have been collected and further action is underway.
