Delhi: To pressurize a woman to marry, her two and a half year old child was kidnapped, police caught the accused Wasim.
A shocking case has come to light from the country’s capital Delhi. Here a man kidnapped a woman’s two and a half year old child to force her to marry him. However, the police recovered the child from Moradabad and arrested the accused Wasim. After this matter came to light, even the police were surprised as to how low a person can stoop to get married.
What is the whole matter?
A 2.5 year old child who was kidnapped from Kashmiri Gate area of Delhi has been safely recovered by the police from Moradabad. The police have also arrested the accused Wasim. According to DCP North Raja Banthia, the child’s mother sets up a food stall every Tuesday near the Hanuman temple in Yamuna market. Wasim, who lives there, was pressurizing the woman for marriage for a year. When the woman clearly refused to marry, there was a fight between the two on the day of the incident. After the fight, Wasim angrily picked up the woman’s younger son, who was playing in the park. The woman immediately made a PCR call to the police.
DCP’s statement came out
According to the DCP, Wasim did not have any mobile phone, hence the police did not get the benefit of technical tracing. Then the police collected information from the local people. It was revealed that the sister of the accused lives in Moradabad. After which the Delhi Police team immediately reached Moradabad and conducted a raid in the night itself and caught the accused from his sister’s house.
During police interrogation, Wasim admitted that he wanted to marry the woman, but when she refused, he took the child away to put pressure on her. According to the police, Wasim had already been caught in two cases of theft and snatching.
