Delhi: A massive fire broke out in a hotel in Malviya Nagar, 21 people died, most of the dead were foreigners.

New Delhi, June 3. A massive fire broke out in the restaurant located in the basement of the multi-storey hotel Floris Inn in Malviya Nagar area of ​​South Delhi on Wednesday morning. There is news of death of 21 people in this accident. Most of the dead include foreigners. Firefighters rescued 37 people. Many people staying in the hotel tried to save their lives by jumping from the building.

Delhi Fire Service (DFS) official said that the department received information about the fire in the hotel at around 9 am. That as an initial step, two water tenders, two water bowsers, one quick response vehicle and other fire fighting units were dispatched to control the fire at Lemon Green Restaurant. 37 people trapped in the hotel have been rescued. Many foreign citizens were also staying here.

Horrible video after the accident

Many horrifying videos have surfaced after the fire in the restaurant, in which people can be seen jumping from the railing to save their lives. The magnitude of the fire can be easily estimated from the fact that black smoke was visible from a distance. There was also a provision for staying in the restaurant, due to which some foreigners were also staying here.

Most foreigners stayed in the hotel

According to the information received, there was a restaurant in the basement of the hotel built in the narrow streets of Haujrani. According to local residents, this five-storey hotel had about 25 rooms, in which more than 50 people stayed. Most of the passengers staying in the hotel were foreigners who had come from outside for treatment. When the fire broke out in the hotel, most of the people were sleeping. It is being told that all the people who died were attendants of patients admitted in hospitals.

The chef of the restaurant told – how terrible the fire was

Chef Kesar Singh, who works in the hotel’s restaurant, said, ‘It was morning, as soon as I tried to light the electric stove at around eight o’clock, a fire suddenly broke out. It was found that the fire had already started in the hotel. I immediately told my assistant that the hotel was on fire. When I came out I saw that the hotel was burning. Somehow I escaped from there. Expressed fear of death of many people in Kesar accident.
