Young vs experienced leaders in Delhi: Veterans handed over political legacy, strength of new generation will be seen in election riots
Delhi Legislative Assembly Election 2025: Only a few days are left for Delhi Assembly Elections. Political parties have geared up regarding this. This time the new generation has also entered the elections. While political parties have fielded veterans, new faces are also in the fray on many seats. The contest in Delhi elections seems to be between young versus experienced leaders. This time the youth will get to see their strength.
A total of 699 candidates are trying their luck on 70 seats in Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party and Congress are contesting all 70 seats while Bharatiya Janata Party is contesting on 68 seats. BJP has given two seats to its ally. Talking about young faces, AAP has expressed confidence in the youth this time. Whereas BJP and Congress have fielded experienced leaders. This time in the elections the contest seems to be between young versus experienced leaders.

AAP gave priority to youth
Aam Aadmi Party has given priority to candidates below 50 years of age. 42 AAP candidates are below 50 years of age. Of these, 10 candidates are in the age group of 25 to 39 years, while 32 candidates are in the age group of 40 to 49 years. At the same time, Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress have also fielded many young candidates, but most of the seats have been given to experienced leaders above 50 years of age.
Veterans handed over their legacy
Changes are also being seen in the political tradition of Delhi. Many veterans have handed over their political legacy to new faces. Six-time MLA Shoaib Iqbal has fielded his son Ale Mohammad Iqbal on Aam Aadmi Party ticket. Chaudhary Matin, who was a five-time MLA from Seelampur seat, has fielded his son Zubair from his seat. In such a situation, it can be said that the next elections of Delhi will be decided on the basis of the attitude of the youth.

Voting will be held in Delhi on 5th February, result on 8th
Let us tell you that voting will be held in one phase on February 5 for all 70 assembly seats of Delhi. The result will be declared on 8th February. A total of 699 candidates are in the fray in Delhi elections. Among these, the maximum number of candidates are from New Delhi Assembly seat, a total of 23 candidates are in the fray from here. The lowest is in Patel Nagar and Kasturba Nagar, 5 candidates each are trying their luck on these two seats.
