Generosity of Delhiites: Donated generously to political parties, this party is on top, regional parties also got election funds

Electoral Bond: The people of Delhi have donated with great sadness. Has shown generosity in donating to political parties. Regional parties have also received huge election funds. People from Delhi are among those who donated the most. This has been revealed in the report presented by political parties in the Election Commission.

The Association of Democratic Reforms said in its report that 6 national parties including BJP and Congress received a total of Rs 850 crore election donations in the year 2022-23. Of these, Rs 276 crore was donated by Delhiites alone. Whereas election donations worth Rs 160 crore from Gujarat and Rs 96 crore from Maharashtra have come into the kitty of political parties. Donations worth Rs 92 and Rs 52 crore were received by political parties from Karnataka and West Bengal.

This party is on top among the recipients of donations

According to ADR report, Bharatiya Janata Party is on top among the recipients of donations. BJP has received donations worth Rs 719 crore. Congress has received donations of Rs 79 crore and Aam Aadmi Party Rs 37 crore. Of these, Rs 680 crore has been donated by corporates and Rs 166 crore has been donated by private people to political parties.

Regional parties also got election funds

Donations worth Rs 150 crore have been received from other states and union territories. It has also been said in this report that information about where the donations of Rs 52 crore were received from political parties has not been provided. Talking about regional parties, BRS has received donations of Rs 154 crore, YSR Congress Rs 16 crore, TDP Rs 12 crore and DMK Rs 7 crore.
