Delhi Assembly Elections: BJP released second list of 29 candidates, Kapil Mishra got ticket from Karawal Nagar.
New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party has released the second list of 29 candidates in Delhi Assembly elections. Earlier on January 4, the party had released the names of 29 candidates. Now only 12 seats are left where the matter is stuck. In the second list, the ticket of current MLA Mohan Singh Bisht from Karawal Nagar has been canceled and Kapil Mishra has been made a candidate in his place. From Moti Nagar, the party has given ticket to Harish Khurana, son of former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana. The party has once again expressed confidence in Abhay Verma from Laxminagar. Five women are also included in this list.
Fielded candidates on 58 seats
BJP had released its first list on January 4, in which the party had announced the names of 29 candidates. The BJP announced its second list of 29 candidates, a day after the Central Election Committee met at the BJP headquarters on Friday to finalize the names of the remaining 41 candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections. BJP has so far announced its candidates on 58 seats.
Elections in Delhi on 5 February
Delhi will go to polls in a single phase on 5 February 2025 and counting of votes will take place on 8 February and results will be declared. Four sitting MLAs were given tickets in the first list of BJP. The party has fielded Pravesh Verma against Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi seat. Two women were given tickets in the first list of BJP.
