Break in India Block: Congress, not BJP, will decide AAP's victory or defeat in Delhi.

New Delhi. Delhi elections have been announced, except BJP, most of the political wrestlers have also come into the fray. BJP and AAP are attacking each other and a poster war is going on. Aam Aadmi Party is not taking the name of Congress, it is giving the opposite message that Congress does not matter in Delhi elections whereas the inside thing is that it is more afraid of Congress than BJP.

AAP scared of Congress's strength

If Congress contests the elections strongly then BJP can win. This is the reason why AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal tried to put pressure on Congress by contacting TMC, SP, Shiv Sena UBT and also issued threats. Congress did not succumb to the pressure of these parties and Media Department head Pawan Kheda also replied in the same manner that India Block was for the Lok Sabha elections. This means that Congress will not bow down to the pressure of regional parties and will contest the elections strongly in Delhi.

AAP has pushed Congress into the pit.

In such a situation, the biggest question is how big a challenge Congress is before you. If we look at the results and data of the last three elections, we will find that the victory of Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi in 2013, 2015 and 2020 was due to the defeat of Congress. Aam Aadmi Party, which emerged from the womb of Anna movement of 2011, contested the first elections in 2013 in which it got 28 seats and about 29.49 percent votes. Congress was reduced to 8 seats from 43 seats. The vote share which was 40.31 percent was reduced to 24.55 percent. BJP also lost about 3 percent votes but gained 8 seats and went from 23 to 31. Only 5 seats remained short of majority. AAP formed the government for 49 days with the help of Congress, Arvind Kejriwal became CM for the first time.

Congress kept sinking

After 2013, in the 2015 elections, the remaining support base of Congress also slipped and it lost about 15 percent votes, Congress came down to zero and AAP reached 67 seats. BJP was reduced from 31 to 3 seats. Although there was no significant change in BJP's vote share, only 1 percent vote share decreased but it lost 28 seats. Then came the 2020 elections, BJP tried its best and Congress fought the elections with broken morale, hence the results came in the same and half of its vote bank slipped further and it came down to 5 percent. AAP's vote share remained the same but BJP's vote share increased by 6 percent and reached 38 percent. Got only 8 seats whereas in 2015 AAP won 67 seats and in 2020 62 seats. If we talk about the vote percentage of all the three parties in the three elections, in 2013, Congress got 24.55 percent, AAP got 29.49 percent and BJP got 33.07 percent votes. In 2015, AAP secured 54.34 percent votes, BJP 32.19 percent and Congress 9.65 percent. The condition of Congress worsened in the 2020 elections. In this election, AAP got 53.57 percent votes, BJP got 38.51 percent votes. At the same time, the vote share in Congress's account remained only 4.26 percent.

Congress will decide your victory or defeat

Congress believes that it has gone as low as it could go. AAP remained in power for 10 consecutive years and kept making false promises, hence the anti-incumbency factor will also work in this election. Congress is contesting the elections with the hope that if it wins as many seats as it wants, the vote percentage graph will go up. The graph of the last three elections shows that in the first two elections, its votes shifted towards AAP whereas in 2020, BJP benefited more. The challenge before BJP is to take its vote percentage beyond 40 percent, while Congress is making efforts to bring back its vote bank which has shifted towards AAP. AAP is struggling to retain power. These figures show that AAP's victory and defeat will be decided not by BJP but by Congress.

This is why India Block broke

The biggest reason behind SP, TMC and Shiv Sena separating from UBT's India Block and supporting AAP is that AAP had sent the message that Congress would suffer losses if it contested the elections strongly. When Congress did not pay heed to the message, separation occurred. Actually, Congress has to do politics in the entire country and AAP is continuously usurping its vote bank. States like Delhi, Punjab and Gujarat are examples of this. No political party will tolerate this. Shiv Sena had to contest BMC elections alone and SP had to settle the score with Maharashtra Assembly, so it happened. The bottom line is that the India Bloc has broken due to vested political interests because no one wants to give up their share. Read Also- If the alliance breaks, it will never happen again!
