Delhi Assembly, Vidhan Sabha Metro Station receive bomb threat, security tightened

Security agencies in the national capital were placed on high alert on Tuesday after a bomb threat email targeted the Delhi Assembly and the nearby Vidhan Sabha Metro Station, triggering immediate inspections across the area.

According to reports, Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta received the threatening email, which warned that both the Assembly building and the metro station would be blown up. The alarming message also reportedly included threats directed at several top political figures, including Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, S.JaishankarDelhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh SandhuChief Minister Rekha Guptaand minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa.

Following the threat, security personnel swiftly launched a comprehensive search operation at the Delhi Assembly premises. Visuals from the site showed heightened police presence and intensified checks in and around the complex, as authorities worked to ensure public safety.

Despite the seriousness of the threat, officials confirmed that no suspicious objects have been found so far. Security arrangements have been significantly strengthened as a precautionary measure, with police maintaining strict vigilance in the area.
