Hemang Badani said that we are in constant touch with Mitchell Starc. He is bowling. He had bowled a few days ago also. Until Cricket Australia confirms that he is fully fit to play, no franchise can do much. Badani further said that we are waiting to get NOC from Cricket Australia. As soon as we get him, we will know when he will join us. DC Cricket Director Venugopal Rao also showed a positive attitude towards Starc joining the team. He said that Stark would definitely come. Just waiting for the approval from Cricket Australia. It is expected that Starc will not be able to play the first few matches of the tournament. Cricket Australia (CA) is being very careful about its experienced fast bowler, as he is going to be very busy in the next 12 months. During this period, he has to play a total of 21 matches including important tours of South Africa, India and England. After this, they also have to defend their ODI World Cup title in South Africa in late 2027. Fast bowler Starc was the second highest wicket taker for DC last season. He took a total of 14 wickets in 11 matches. IPL is scheduled to start from March 28, while Delhi Capitals will start their campaign on April 1 by playing a match against LSG in Lucknow.
