During the hearing, the bench of Justice Purushindra Kumar Kaurav said that it sees something wrong in this case. The High Court had asked the government to increase the income limit under EWS quota from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh in December 2023, but the Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Minister were ready to implement it. The bench said that after looking at the entire matter, it feels that some deal is going on between the Directorate of Education and the private schools so that the private schools can get the benefit. The bench said that it is considering getting the case investigated by CBI, which will be done on the 9th of next month.
