Delhi developer bought JioHotstar domain even before the merger; Now this condition has been placed before Reliance Industry
JioHotstar Domain: The news of the merger of JioCinema and Disney + Hotstar has been in the headlines for some time. It is being said that Reliance can merge both the apps into a single platform. But, even before the deal between Disney and Jio, an app developer had purchased the Jiohotstar domain. Now he has written a letter and put a condition before the executives of Reliance Industries.

Actually, after purchasing this domain, the app developer itself has posted a letter. In this letter, the person has described himself as an app developer from Delhi. He is working on one of his start-ups. Also, he has put a condition before the executives of Reliance Industries that the company will fund his further studies, in return for which he will give them this domain. The person wrote, 'My reason for buying this domain is clear. If this merger happens, it will fulfill my dream of studying in Cambridge.
The developer said in his letter that in the beginning of the year 2023, he came to know from social media that the number of active users of Disney + Hotstar was decreasing after losing the rights of IPL streaming license. The company is looking for an Indian company for merger. Viacom 18 (Reliance Authorized) is the only major player that can acquire Disney+ Hotstar. When Jio acquired music streaming company Saavn, they changed the domain from Saavn.com to JioSaavn.com.
The app developer wrote that if Jio acquires Hotstar, the name of that domain could be JioHotstar. He then checked this domain, which was available, and purchased it. Let us tell you that the merger of Reliance Industries' Viacom 18 and Walt Disney's Star India is likely to happen by November this year. It is believed that after the merger, it will be India's largest media and entertainment company with a value of $8.5 billion.
