Delhi Education Directorate’s action on rumor regarding counting of stray dogs, complaint lodged with police

Delhi News: Delhi’s Directorate of Education (DoE) has termed the news spreading on social media regarding teachers of government schools counting stray dogs as completely fake and misleading. The Directorate has clearly stated that no such order has ever been issued and this is a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of the education department and teachers.

Complaint filed in Delhi Police

Considering this matter as serious, Delhi Education Directorate has lodged a formal complaint with Delhi Police. In the complaint given at Civil Lines police station, information about those social media accounts through which these false news were spread has also been submitted. The department has demanded that strict legal action should be taken by registering an FIR against the culprits, so that such rumors can be stopped in future.

Director of Delhi Education Directorate Veditha Reddy clarified that no instructions were issued by the department regarding counting of stray dogs by teachers. He said that this is not a matter of general political criticism, but a deliberate attempt to damage the reputation of the education system and teachers. He assured that action will be taken against those responsible under the law.

DIP’s statement also came

At the same time, Director of Directorate of Information and Publicity (DIP) Sushil Singh said that some videos were made viral on social media, in which some people posing as teachers were shown counting dogs. Some of these videos were real, while some were made with AI technology. He said that this entire claim was baseless and a general circular of the department was distorted, which sent a wrong message to the public and created unnecessary anger.

Teachers’ morale breaks

The Directorate of Education said that such rumors not only break the morale of teachers but also confuse parents and common citizens. The department has appealed to the people to check the authenticity of any news before sharing it. He also warned that those spreading lies in matters related to education will not be spared. In this case, action has been demanded under the Indian Justice Code 2023 and IT Act 2000.
