Delhi Election: Police action before elections; Gang making voter cards of illegal Bangladeshis busted, 11 arrested

Delhi Assembly Election 2025: Before the assembly elections in Delhi, the police has exposed a gang which was engaged in converting illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators into voters of Delhi. Not only the voter card of illegal infiltrators but also all such documents including Aadhar card were being made which could prove them to be citizens of India. 11 people who created these documents have been arrested.

DCP South Ankit Chauhan said that the 11 people arrested include Aadhaar operators, tech experts and those who tampered with documents. These people were creating all the documents including voter cards of illegal infiltrators from a fake website. Police have recovered many items and documents from the spot.

Delhi LG wrote a letter to Arvind Kejriwal, praising him and wrote – 'Only after 10 years, your eyes opened on the situation in Delhi'

DCP said that these people come to India illegally through trains through Bangladeshi jungles and in Delhi, this gang used to make documents of people. After the revelation of the gang, the police has started investigation whether more people were also associated with them and How many fake voter cards and Aadhar cards were made till now and of which people?

The issue of illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators is increasing before the assembly elections in Delhi in February. Recently, LG had ordered Delhi Police to identify illegal Bangladeshis in the city and send them back to Bangladesh, and the police is conducting campaigns in many areas and checking the documents of people who are suspected to be Bangladeshis.

Aam Aadmi Party and Bharatiya Janata Party have debated a lot on the issue of illegal Bangladeshis coming to India and getting voter cards in Delhi. Therefore, after the revelation of this gang, politics regarding illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators may also intensify.
