A bed in a room caught fire

According to media reports, a fire has been reported at the residence of senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in Delhi. His official residence is at 21 Mother Teresa Crescent Road, Lutyens Zone, Delhi. The fire is said to have started at 8:05 am on Wednesday. A fire broke out in a bed in a room of their house.

As soon as the government residence of Ravi Shankar Prasad was informed about the fire, three vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot. The fire was brought under control in no time. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the fire.

Briefing about the incident, Sub-Fire Officer Suresh M said, “As soon as we got a call, we rushed to the spot. There was a fire in one of the rooms, which has now been doused. We have also informed the senior authorities. The cause of the fire is not known yet… There was no damage.” This information has been given by the fire brigade.

Forensic team reached the spot
