New Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi held a press conference on Tuesday regarding the preparations for Chhath Puja. During this, he said, Chhath festival will start from today with Nahay Khay and Purvanchali brothers and sisters will start their fast from today. There was a time when our Purvanchali brothers and sisters living in Delhi had to go to their villages in trains and buses to celebrate Chhath festival.

But I am happy that in the last 10 years, ever since the AAP government has been formed in Delhi, this great festival of Chhath is celebrated with great pomp in Delhi so that the people who work in Delhi do not have to leave Delhi to celebrate this festival. Don't worry because Delhi is also the home of Purvanchali brothers and sisters. This time also a grand celebration of Chhath festival is being organized in Delhi and a holiday is being declared in Delhi on 7th.
Chief Minister Atishi said, before Arvind Kejriwal became the CM, there were 60 Chhath Ghats in Delhi, but today after 10 years, 1000 Chhath Ghats are being built in Delhi under the guidance of Kejriwal ji. Delhi Government organizes events on these Chhath Ghats. Building ghats, arranging water, medical facilities, arranging doctors etc. all the work is done by the departments of Delhi Government. The Delhi government has made such arrangements that Purvanchali brothers and sisters will not have to go more than 1 kilometer away from their home to perform puja.
