Delhi. Delhi Government is going to purchase 2 high-end VIP boats for monitoring and inspection of Yamuna River. A tender worth about Rs 6.20 crore has been issued for this. The tender notice was released by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department (I&FC) on March 12. Each boat will have AC cabin and the estimated cost of the boat is Rs 3.10 crore. These boats will be used for regular monitoring and inspection works of Yamuna river.
According to officials, the tender process is likely to be completed soon and once the supplier is finalized, the delivery of the boats may take about 5 months. These boats will be used by VIPs and senior officials for regular inspection and cleaning operations of Yamuna river. Each boat will have AC cabin and will be equipped with modern technology.

Rear Open Deck – VIP officials and guests will be able to sit during public events or inspections. Sitting Capacity – Each boat will have seating capacity for 16 to 20 people. The already announced features include AC cabins, business class-like VIP seats, pantry, washroom and 400 liters of water storage.
