Delhi News: Delhi Police has exposed a vicious gang which used to extort money while wearing police uniform. Three fake identity cards of Delhi Police and the uniform of a Delhi Police constable have been recovered from the arrested accused. The Crime Branch claims that their team took this action on Wednesday. He told that this gang used to fulfill its intentions by luring people into honey trap. The arrested accused have been identified as Neeraj Tyagi alias Dheeraj alias Dhiru (42), resident of Tilak Nagar, Ashish Mathur (31), resident of Karala, Delhi and Deepak alias Sajan (30), resident of Kharkhoda, Haryana.

Regarding this matter, Additional Police Commissioner of the branch Sanjay Bhatia said that under the leadership of Inspector Sandeep Tushir, the team of SI Satendra Dahiya, Yogesh Dahiya, Parveer Singh and ASI Sanjeev Malik together have busted the gang. All the accused have been arrested near Budh Vihar Nala, Main Kanjhawala Road. He said the accused were taken to the crime branch office for further questioning, where they tried to escape from custody but were caught. Neeraj and Deepak were wanted in the honey trap case in Bindapur of Dwarka district.

Regarding this action, the Additional Police Commissioner said that in August 2024, an unknown girl contacted the 60-year-old doctor on phone. The girl had some conversation with the doctor. After a few days, the girl called the doctor at an address near Janakpuri metro station in West Delhi, telling her that her mother was ill. There he served breakfast to the doctor.

The police further said in the statement that when the girl started opening the buttons of the doctor's shirt, four people, including two in police uniform, entered the room. Meanwhile, the girl ran away and the four men caught hold of the doctor and started threatening to arrest him in a criminal case. Nine lakh rupees were allegedly recovered from him. The complainant informed the local police of Bindapur about the incident. At present, the local police station has arrested four accused including two women.
