Delhi is suffocating! Air in 31 areas is in ‘hazardous’ category, situation is most serious in Anand Vihar and RK Puram.
There is no sign of pollution reducing in Delhi. Along with winter, AQI is also increasing rapidly. A ‘red alert’ of pollution has been issued in most areas on Friday morning. AQI of these areas remains beyond 300. The government is making all efforts to reduce pollution, but no significant effect is visible. Pollution is affecting people’s health, due to which they are suffering from many diseases.
Increasing pollution has worried the people of Delhi. Air quality has remained poor for the last several months. According to Sameer App, the highest AQI of 374 was recorded in RK Puram at 7 am on Friday. Apart from this, the AQI situation is similar in 30 areas also. Pollution in these areas is in the red zone. Along with fog, a thick layer of pollution has surrounded Delhi. The Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave alert in Delhi throughout the day today.
Double attack of winter and pollution in Delhi
During this period the minimum temperature is likely to reach 5 degrees Celsius. Now not only pollution but also the oppression of winter has started in Delhi. From roads to Parliament, the government is being cornered on the issue of pollution. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has formed a new committee to improve the pollution situation. She herself will preside over it. This committee will include ministers, officials and some experts.
AQI crosses 300 in 31 areas
He has given clear instructions that strict action should be taken if any rule related to pollution is violated, whether it is done by any individual, private organization or government department. They should be fined. At 7 am on Friday, AQI was recorded above 300 at 31 out of 40 active AQI monitoring centres, which falls in the dangerous category.
