Delhi: Massive fire in a three-storey house, seven people including five children evacuated safely.

A sudden fire broke out in a three-storey residential building in the New Friends Colony area of ​​the national capital Delhi on Sunday afternoon, creating panic in the area. This incident happened at around 3:39 pm in the house located at C-600. As soon as the information was received, Delhi Fire Service teams immediately reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations on war footing.

Due to the rapid spread of the fire, people present on the upper floors of the building were trapped. The fire brigade personnel displayed courage and wisdom and safely rescued five children and two women trapped on the third floor. Apart from this, two pet puppies were also saved safely.

Initially a water cannon, Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) and BFT were sent to the spot. Considering the seriousness of the situation, additional fire tenders were later deployed at the spot.

According to preliminary information, the fire first broke out on the first floor of the house and soon reached the upper floors. Due to the prompt action of the fire department, the fire was completely controlled by 4:05 pm.

There has been no loss of life in this accident. However, a pet dog got injured, which was rescued safely and sent to the veterinary hospital for treatment. The cause of the fire is not yet known and the fire department has started investigating the matter. Local residents appreciated the prompt and effective action of the fire brigade personnel and said that due to their promptness a major accident was averted.
