Delhi Metro's plan to deal with air pollution is ready, will run additional trips, this appeal is made to the people too!

Delhi Metro News: The problem of air pollution increases in the capital Delhi during winter and festive season. Recently, Delhi government had also held a big meeting to deal with air pollution. Now Delhi Metro has also prepared its plan in this direction, which has been named Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). Also, to deal with air pollution, Delhi Metro has asked people to use public transport as much as possible for transportation.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has posted very important information regarding this on its official social media platform X, in which it has been told what will be done under the Graded Response Action Plan to deal with air pollution. To achieve the objectives, GRAP will be implemented in three phases. Under this, Delhi Metro will run additional metro trips.

It is said that whenever GRAP Phase-II is implemented, DMRC will run 40 additional metro trips on weekdays on all lines. Whereas in the third phase of GRAP, 20 additional metro trips will be run. In this way, a total of 60 additional metro trips will be run on weekdays. The advantage of this initiative of Delhi Metro will be that people will be able to travel long distances without coming in contact with air pollution. Besides, there will be a reduction in the use of private vehicles, which will help in dealing with air pollution.

Apart from this, the traffic on the roads increases significantly during the festive season, due to which people have to face traffic problems. At the same time, they will also get relief from excess traffic on the roads. In this way they will be able to travel long distances without any trouble.
