Suddenly pink foam in Delhi Yamuna, experts expressed concern
These days pink colored foam is visible in Yamuna river around Kalindi Kunj and Madanpur Khadar. Environmental experts are considering this as a sign of serious pollution. Normally the foam formed in the river is white, but this time the color of pink foam is increasing the possibility of industrial pollution. For the last ten days, this foam has been seen floating far and wide on the surface of the river, which is likely to affect the water and the surrounding environment.

Cabinet approves budget session, starting from March 23
A big update has come out regarding the budget session in the capital Delhi. On March 16, the Delhi Cabinet approved the long-awaited budget session. According to sources, this session will run from 23 to 25 March 2026. The budget for the financial year 2026-27 will be presented in the Assembly on March 24. On the first day of the session, officials told that the Economic Survey of Delhi will also be placed in the House. The functioning, financial priorities and schemes of various departments are likely to be discussed during this session.

‘Super Medical Hub’ will be built on the lines of AIIMS in Delhi
The Delhi government has taken a big decision with the aim of making the health services of the capital modern, accessible and effective. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the government has decided to integrate three major government hospitals of the city, Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB), Delhi State Cancer Institute (DSCI) and Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital (RGSSH) and develop them into an autonomous medical institution. The government aims to develop these institutions on the lines of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), where patients can get high-class and coordinated health services under one roof. Under this initiative, the administrative structure will be made more autonomous, which will speed up the decision making process and is expected to improve the quality of treatment.

India becomes the third largest metro network in the world
New Delhi. The number of passengers in Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), considered the lifeline of the capital, is continuously creating new records. After the Corona period, there has been a big jump in the number of passengers due to the expansion of the metro network and the opening of new lines. According to the data, the number of passengers increased to 235.8 crore last year as compared to the year 2024. At the same time, more than 81 lakh passengers traveled by metro in a single day, creating a new record.

Delhi High Court gives time to Kejriwal-Sisodia to file reply
The Delhi High Court on Monday (March 16) gave time to Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodiya and other accused to file their reply to the CBI’s plea in the corruption case related to the alleged Delhi Excise Policy scam.
