Delhi's old vehicles will be confiscated

The Delhi government has issued an order to confiscate old vehicles and has made an announcement through its guidelines that 10 year old diesel vehicles and 15 year old petrol vehicles will now be confiscated. If we look at the guidelines, it is going to be implemented from October 12. This campaign was run in Delhi earlier also. In August 2024, the Delhi High Court had issued orders to the government to stop these vehicles.

Lieutenant Governor gave instructions

If we pay attention to the reports, Delhi Lieutenant Governor CK Saxena has taken a meeting. In this meeting, the Lieutenant Governor has ordered the authority to take this campaign forward, so that these polluting vehicles have to be removed from the capital before the winter season of Delhi arrives. According to the report, Delhi's Transport Department has seized 213 such vehicles on Friday, October 11, which include two-wheelers, four-wheelers and e-rickshaws.

It is better to leave the old vehicle otherwise you will have to pay a fine.

The Delhi government had earlier also appealed to the people to replace their 10 to 15 year old vehicles, but for those who are not doing so, orders have now been given to confiscate their vehicles and heavy fines will also be collected from them. . According to the new guidelines, a fine of Rs 10,000 for four wheelers and Rs 5,000 for two wheelers has been fixed.
