Delhi New EV Policy Effective From 1st July: The new EV policy is going to be implemented in the country’s national capital Delhi. The new EV policy in Delhi will come into effect from July 1. CM Rekha Gupta has announced the implementation of the new EV policy in Delhi from July 1. Under the new EV policy, only electric autos will be registered in Delhi from January 1, 2027, and e-two wheelers will be registered from April 1, 2028.
Along with announcing this, CM Rekha Gupta said that there is a plan to make Delhi the EV capital. Through this, we will get great support in dealing with the problem of pollution. Rekha Gupta said that under the EV policy, there will be an investment of Rs 15,000 crore in Delhi in the next 4 years.
Under the new EV policy, there is a plan to give big discounts and subsidies to customers on purchasing EV vehicles. Under the EV policy, BS IV four wheeler owners will get a scrapping incentive of Rs 1 lakh.
The Chief Minister said that charging infrastructure will be developed on a large scale in public places. Besides, arrangements will also be made in collaboration with Discom to provide separate meters for EV charging in homes. He said that electric vehicles purchased under this policy will not be sold outside Delhi for three years.
