1. Rekha Gupta government reduced VAT on ATF in Delhi from 25% to 7%.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta government has decided to reduce VAT on Aircraft Turbine Fuel (ATF), giving a big relief to the aviation sector. Now only 7% tax will have to be paid on ATF in Delhi instead of 25%. The state finance department has issued a notification in this regard. This huge reduction in VAT will reduce the operating costs of airlines and help in maintaining stable airfares for passengers.

2. First phase of census starts in Delhi

Housing survey work is going to start from Saturday under the first phase of the census process in the capital Delhi. This survey will be conducted in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) area. More than 50 thousand employees have been deployed in 12 districts of Delhi for this campaign. During the survey, information related to houses, buildings and basic facilities will be collected by the employees. During the survey, employees will go door-to-door and ask 33 questions included in the housing survey form and record their information.
