MBA student caught by Delhi Police after absconding with a luxury bike from the showroom in the name of test drive; would talk in English and drive away

Delhi Police has arrested a boy who stole luxury bikes from several showrooms and sold them at cheap prices. The accused used to enter the showroom speaking fluent English. This made the showroom staff believe in him. After this he used to take cars for test drives. He used to leave the showroom with the vehicles. After this he did not return. By the time the showroom staff realized the fraud, the accused had fled from the spot.

The accused is an MBA student, who stole 9 expensive bikes in 3 months. After doing BBA he is doing MBA. The police of Delhi’s Vijay Vihar police station has arrested the accused. While disclosing the theft case, Vijay Vihar police station of Rohini district police said that the accused is educated and has done BBA. Police arrested the accused who stole Bullet motorcycle, whose name is Puneet. He targeted many areas of Delhi and bike showrooms in Gurugram.

Police caught through GPS

DCP Rohini Shashank Jaiswal said that the accused used to go to any bike showroom by making a fake ID and take away expensive bikes in the name of test drive, after which he used to sell them at cheap prices. He also used social sites to make and sell fake documents of the bike. According to Delhi Police, the accused has done BBA, due to whose actions the bike showroom and Delhi Police were also troubled. The police talked to the owners of many showrooms where new bikes are available for test drives. GPS was installed in them, when Puneet stole some bikes, their location was known.

The accused used to target bikes worth Rs 3-7 lakh

DCP Rohini Shashank Jaiswal said that this accused has stolen about 9 bikes. He used to target expensive bikes ranging from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 7 lakh. Big showrooms of Gurugram-Delhi were his target. To catch it, Delhi Police talked to the showroom owners and got GPS installed on the test drive bike so that whenever it reached the showroom for test drive of the bike, it could be chased and caught. Due to the intelligence of the police, this thief was caught.
